Nytran SuPerCharge and Nylon Membranes, Whatman
Nytran SuPerCharge membranes have a very high positive charge and feature greater density of nylon. They bind three times more negatively-charged dye than typical positively-charged nylon membranes. Membranes boast uniform pore size and distribution. This consistent morphology leads to greater reproducibility of results across a membrane and from blot to blot. Membranes deliver a high signal with extremely low background when used with radioactive or non-radioactive detection techniques. Nytran nylon membranes
are ideal for applications that require a lower charge. These membranes are designed for Southern and Northern blotting, colony and plaque lifts, and dot- or slot-blots. Membranes are cast uniformly for excellent symmetry and to prevent curling. Butterfly membrane has asymmetric notches and tabs for easier handling, improved orientation, and identification of colony and plaque lifts.
